The congress person i am most like from my state is Dean Heller. He is a senator from Nevada. I chose him because he has a lot of experience, his top priority is jobs, and he addresses the most important issues first. His main goal is to create jobs and i think this is a very important thing and a high priority in our country.

My endorsement for 2012 is Rick Santorum. This is because i feel like we need a very strong conservative and a someone who is very "right" as some might say. We need someone like this because of how far left Obama has taken our country.

Issue 1: Military Spending
Military spending has decreased since the Cold War but our debt is almost back to how it was. Out of the countries 14 trillion dollars in debt, 1.6 trillion is from military spending. The U.S. spends more than all the countries in G7 (most economically advanced countries) combined.

One reason that military spending is so large is because of the strategic and economic inertia in this large enterprise. It is not possible to reduce spending in such large areas quickly. Therefore, we need to begin cutting spending so that is a couple years it will be reduced to a reasonable amount.

Issue 2: Foreign Aid
Foreign aid is often regarded as being wasted on corrupt governments despite the good intension and quality aid from donor countries.

To solve this issue, i think that we need to stop making recipient of foreign aid have to use overpriced goods and services from donor countries. We need to make sure that the aid actually goes to the poorest that need it the most.

Issue 3: Poverty
Almost half the world, over 3 billion people, live on less than $2.50 a day. Nearly a billion people entered the 21st century unable to read a book or sign their names. Less than one percent of what the world spent every year on weapons was needed to put every child into school by the year 2000 and yet it didn’t happen.

Many people are born into poverty. This is a problem because the more and more people that do not work to make money, more people will be born into poverty.
